This website was started by Anne Hart and Brendan Clegg.

Anne and her family live close to Crowborough Common and hold commoners rights over the whole of the common for pasture and herbage for cattle. 

Brendan is a surveyor and cartographer.  He has worked for the Foreign Office and the Ordnance Survey.  He has lived adjacent to the summit of the common, Beacon Wood, since 1989.

Mr Len Wickham and Mr Basil Dier contribute to this site - they have both campaigned tirelessly, over many years, to protect the common and the right of public access.  Both Len and Basil know a great deal about the history of the town and its beautiful common.
